Lorenzo was appointed Director of the Arizona Finance Authority and Director of the Arizona Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting following his post as Special Advisor for Tax, Business and Regulatory Policy to the Governor. Prior to this, Lorenzo worked as the Director of Fiscal Policy for the Arizona House of Representatives, serving for Speaker Adams, Speaker Tobin, and briefly for Speaker Gowan. As Director, he advised the House Republican Caucus on tax, budget, economic development, and business related issues.
Before entering State service, Lorenzo worked in consulting for EY and Deloitte, and started his career in GE Capital’s Financial Management Program. Lorenzo has a B.S. in Finance and Accounting and M.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Laura has served as Budget and Project Manager for the Arizona Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting, where she led the work that resulted in the successful passage of the ACA 2.0 legislation. Prior to her role at OSPB, Laura served as Policy Director on a gubernatorial campaign, led standards and accountability systems reform work at the Wyoming Department of Education and served as Communication Director at the National Council on Teacher Quality. Laura studied computer engineering and political science at the University of Maryland and received an M.Ed. from American University while teaching secondary math in Washington DC.
